Dear Conference Registrant,
While there was inconsistent weather throughout NJ on Saturday, February 6, 2010, the NWP@Rutgers Midwinter Conference was held as planned.
One thing that the weather is incapable of changing is your interest and motivation to be a more effective teacher of writing. We know that the educators who come to our conference are serious about their teaching and serious about learning how to help their students become skilled writers.
Therefore we want you to know that we are planning a free professional development day in the future for all valid registrants (those who were able to attend on Saturday, and those whose attendance was compromised by the weather). Additionally, all materials from Saturday's conference will soon be made available for download.
We apologize for any inconvenience and ask for your patience while we sort out pertinent details. As you may be aware, our conference registration fee is unusually low for the value it provides. NWP@Rutgers is able to do this because of federal grants and support from Rutgers Graduate School of Education. The registration rate is actually less than the cost of the conference per individual.
Once again, we appreciate your understanding and will inform you via email once we have more details on the free professional development day and downloadable conference materials.
Sincerely,
Dr. Kimberly Lanza, Director of NWP@Rutgers
