Connective Writing: Building Learning Networks Through Links
The ability to easily publish to the Internet is creating new possibilities for teachers to help students enhance their writing and communication skills. In the age of the Read/Write Web, every reader can be a writer as well. Weblogs and wikis offer writers a diverse global audience and the opportunity for interactive feedback and response, but they require a writing approach that takes advantage of the web's ability to link and synthesize disparate ideas from a variety of global sources. This "connective writing" approach initiates more than just communication; it creates connections with other learners.
